A-DATA DDR3-1600X triple channel overclocked beyond 2000MHz
Taipei, Taiwan, Oct. 06, 2008 – The two major players of the IT industry, ASUS and A-DATA announced today at the Taipei Westin Hotel the ultimate overclocking motherboards for the new-generation Intel® chipset X58 and A-DATA + Series DDR3-1600 DRAM modules in triple channel, expanding the overclocking market for high performance computer enthusiasts. This event, releasing jointly with ASUS the latest products not only shows the multiple strategic technological alliance between A-DATA and main MB manufacturers, but also presents, officially, the newest tri-channel kits for overclocking and high-end power users , offering overclocking pros with the newest technology.
During the press conference, the latest technology and products were presented to the industry. ASUS announced its latest professional ROG and P6T motherboard series and A-DATA presented the hottest DDR3 memory in the market, DDR3-1600+ in a triple channel configuration. ASUS whole MB platform portfolio accompanying A-DATA’s overclocking DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules were also displayed in the conference hall, demonstrating A-DATA’s superior performance and steadiness in overclocking technology.
Superior Overclocking Performance: DDR3-1600X triple channel over 2000MHz
Just recently A-DATA has introduced a new cooling solution, specifically designed to meet the requirements of A-DATA's performance X series of memory modules. However, with the latest development, it has made one a step further towards its goal of claiming the supremacy in the high-end computer memory market. Bear in mind that the memory controller integrated on Core™ i7 processors provides three memory channels, i.e. it is capable of accessing three (or six) memory modules at the same time, in parallel, in order to improve performance. Triple-channel architecture gets a 50% increase of available bandwidth compared to a dual-channel architecture running at the same clock speed.
In order to fulfill pros’ overclocking demands and to provide top-end users with the best memory solutions, A-DATA announced today that A-DATA OC-Lab achieved an astounding speed over 2000MHz and a memory read speed of 20,515 MB/s in triple channel configuration. This frequency was achieved using A-DATA DDR3-1600X memory modules paired with an ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard and Core™ i7 CPU.
These results demonstrate the overclocking and high speed memory expertise within A-DATA OC-Team and its commitment to push memory technology to the limits and beyond.
