The Biostar i945GZ Micro 775 SE is quite an excellent motherboard. Hardware peripheral detection was excellent. CPU, RAM, PCI cards were properly detected and configured correctly. Under Windows XP Professional SP-2, it was stable and responsive in multi-task operation. During a test run, I normally had three or four large programs (Photoshop, Roxio Photo Suite, several Internet browsers) running at the same time. The system kept up with commendable speed! Obviously, the benchmark score reported above should already imply this.
Even though the motherboard was tested and used under Windows XP, it is Vista ready, if one prefers the new operating system.
Several months ago, I built an AMD system based on Biostar motherboard and was impressed with it and continued to use that motherboard on a number of other AMD systems. My feeling is the same for this Intel-based motherboard. It is quite an excellent motherboard for a Micro-ATX system. It offers a lot at a competitive price compared to Asus, Abit or Gigabyte.
