Do your bit for humanity by helping to find the cures for diseases like Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, and Parkinson's. Stanford University has developed a distributed computing program called Folding@Home, which uses a small amount of processing power from your computer (and of many others around the world) to perform medical research. The Folding@Home project has already made substantial progress, thanks to the help of tens of thousands of computers and users worldwide. Who knows, maybe one day your computer will help save your life...
Setup is simple - all you need is a computer and an Internet Connection. Simply download and run the Folding@Home Program from Stanford's Website.
When you run the program for the first time, it will ask you for a team number. Please be sure to join CHIP Indonesia Folding Fellow by entering Team Number 38608. As for your username, it's best that you use your current username from our Forum, so that it will be easier to identify you during events or contests in the future.
Note: We strongly recommend that you use the same user name as your forum's user name to make it easier for everybody to acknowledge your contribution. This is also usefull when there's a contest.
For more detailed information about the project, please see the official Folding@Home Website.
