[PENGUMUMAN] Upgrade engine & style CHIP Forum (updated)

Malam ini pk 19:00 hingga paling lambat 21:00, CHIP Forum akan ditutup sehubungan dengan upgrade engine vBulletin ke versi terbaru 3.5.2 dan juga upgrade skin/style versi yang sama. Proses upgrade mungkin saja cuma memakan waktu satu jam, tp untk jaga2 waktunya di-reserved hingga pk 21:00.

Admin akan membuat thread khusus untk menginformasikan feature2 dan perubahan di versi terbaru 3.5.2 nanti.

Harap diketahui juga bahwa perubahan file core vBulletin dan juga file skin/style ke versi terbaru mengakibatkan banyak hack/modifikasi juga harus diulang kembali. Oleh karena itu dimohon kesabaran rekan2 bila pada saat forum sudah online lagi nanti, ada feature2 yg belum jalan atau error. Segera stlh proses upgrade selesai, Admin akan menginstalasikan kembali semua hack yg ada satu persatu yg membutuhkan waktu.

pk 21:00: Engine vBulletin telah selesai di-upgrade ke versi terbaru 3.5.2. Sementara skin/style versi terbaru masih sedang dalam proses upgrade.



Skin/style yg digunakan saat ini masih versi lama dan oleh karena itu harap bersabar bila bbrp perubahan belum muncul di tampilan style.

New AJAX disable option
This allows the administrator to enable AJAX, disable AJAX or disable just those AJAX features which can be troublesome due to character set issues.

IconV use where available
If IconV is installed on your server (which we strongly recommend) vBulletin will now use its character set conversion abilities rather than relying on its own for AJAX-submitted data. This is of especial interest to boards running with non-latin characters such as Chinese, Arabic etc.

Option to switch email banning system back to 3.0.x settings
An option now exists to change the new email banning system's behavior back to the more aggressive method employed by vBulletin 3.0.x. This means that banned words / letters etc. will be matched anywhere within the email address, rather than matching from the end of the address towards the start.

This means that you can specify '@example.' to ban both example.com and example.co.uk, whereas with the 3.5.x system you would have to expressly ban both.

Reputation no longer uses a popup window
Reputation is now handled in the same window as viewing a post.

Product install code execution order changed
Install code specified in a product XML file is now executed before the product record is inserted into the database. This allows far more flexibility to the code to be run when installing a product.

Bitfield XML files use stronger product association
For a bitfield XML file to be parsed, it must be associated with a product that is installed and active. Previously, it was impossible to not use certain bitfield files without deleting them. This is more consistent with CP navigation XML files.

Increased Compatibility with MySQL 5
MySQL 5 has now been declared stable and is therefore supported by vBulletin. With 3.5.1 previous compatibility issues with MySQL 5 have been addressed, allowing vBulletin to run without errors. However, it should be noted that vBulletin is not yet compatible with MySQL 5 running in Strict Mode, and this should be disabled in the MySQL configuration or using the new option in config.php.

Natural language search improved
Natural language search (using MySQL's fulltext engine) should now return more relevant results, particularly when searching in a limited number of forums.

Getnew/getdaily now return threads in forums with "Can View Thread Content" set to no
These thread titles will now appear when clicking "New Posts" or getting posts in the last 24 hours.

IP banning is much improved
IP banning is now much more accurate when dealing with incomplete octets. Additionally, you may now use * as a wildcard at any place in the IP address.

Administrators may leave users' emails blank
Even if unique email addresses are required, administrators may make any number of users' emails blank to prevent mail from being sent to them.

Yes/No radio buttons changed back to horizontal orientation
The line break added between the yes and no options in the admin control panel has been removed. Yes/no rows will now look as they did in previous versions.

Icon baru: Segera setelah Anda mengisikan Skype Name, maka icon Skype Anda juga akan muncul di setiap postbit.





Integrasi: Skype terintegrasi baik dgn vBulletin dan memungkinkan user untuk berinteraksi dengan user lain dlm berbagai cara hanya dengan mengklik icon Skype di postbit.
