        Re: Discussion : Novel DAN BROWN

        Baru baca yg Da Vinci Code. Dulu perasaan maknyus bgt, bikin addicted jadi pengen baca yg lain, tapi sekarang dah kehilangan selera baca novel jadinya ga jadi baca yg lain. SOmehow ane lebih seneng baca yg non-fiksi, sejarah, flora/fauna atau kalo mau yg fiksi mitologi sekalian.

        Tapi harus diakui, untuk yg Da Vinci Code serasa fakta dibalut cerita novel. Hebat...

              Re: Discussion : Novel DAN BROWN

              Udah baca Angels & Demons, Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortres, Deception Point, dan Lost Symbol

              ada yang tetap di Dan Brown dalam menulis, yaitu penokohan dan alur cerita, penokohannya yaitu 2-3 tokoh protagonis, dan 1-2 tokoh antagonis, alur cerita dibuat berliku, terutama dengan diksi/pemilihan katanya...sangat menjelaskan keadaan kejadian yang ditulis di buku...

              itu dari segi sastra / bahasa...

              Dan Brown akan menarik dibaca jika kita juga mengetahui fenomena2 terkait yang terjadi di dunia nyata, misal Da Vinci Code, jika kita tahu/mengerti informasi Gereja Sion, tentunya akan lebih menarik dalam membaca/menikmati novel, dibanding kita tidak tahu...Angel & Demons, jika kita tahu kiprah CERN, pasti lebih asyik...dari CERN lah internet lahir...Deception Point, jika tahu kiprah NASA dalam meteorit yang jatuh di kutub utara dan kampanye POTUS...Digital Fortres, lebih asyik dibaca jika sebelumnya kita pernah dengar kiprah NSA...the Lost Symbol yang paling gampang ditebak...terutama setelah baca 4 yang lainnya...Lost Symbol ini yang paling banyak mengaitkan dengan Masonisme...

              Well, bacaan yang sangat menarik, terlepas dari pembahasan dari sisi agama yang mungkin muncul, Dan Brown adalah novelis satu jurus dengan pengemasan yang mendekati sempurna...

              setelah anda membaca da vinci code dan angel & demons, anda bisa enak menebak tokoh antagonis di deception point, digital fortres, dan lost symbol

              @TS : thanks 4 d trid :-)

                  Re: Discussion : Novel DAN BROWN

                  Akhirnya setelah 1 tahun lebih, gw bangkitkan trit zombie ini dengan berita tentang karya terbaru Dan Brown yang berjudul INFERNO.

                  Selengkapnya :

                  'Inferno', New Dan Brown Book About Dante, Out On May 14th
                  By ZoŽ Triska #news_entries #ad_sharebox_260x60 img {padding:0px;margin:0px}

                  Inferno, Dan Brown's new book about Dante, is coming out on May 14, 2013 from Doubleday in the U.S., and Transworld Publishers in the UK (a division of Random House).
                  Brown announced that he was writing something new in May 2012. Though Brown had been cryptic about the topic of the book, he has now revealed more information.
                  The book will again feature The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and The Lost Symbol's lead character Robert Langdon. Brown also noted on The Today Show that it "will be set in Europe, in the most fascinating place I've ever seen" (we're guessing Florence, Italy since that's where Dante wrote, and Florence's Duomo church features on the cover of the book).
                  Transworld's press release for the book relates a bit more: the book will revolve around one of "history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces" (we're assuming Dante's Divine Comedy, with a focus on the Infernoportion, due to the title of the book).
                  A little background on this story: Dante's Divine Comedy is an epic poem written between 1308 and 1321. In the poem, Dante is led by Virgil through Hell (inferno), Purgatory (Purgatorio), and Heaven (Paradiso). According to the Italian Dante Society, no original manuscript by Dante survived, although there are around 825 that exist from later reprints. Of 300 copies originally printed in 1472 (the year the first print edition came out), 14 survive. You can see scans of some early editions here, and download a free illustrated copy from Project Gutenberg here.
                  The title was announced this morning on The Today Show. Readers were invited to participate in the unveiling of the title by posting on Facebook or tweeting, using the hashtag #DanBrownToday that they were helping unveil the title of Dan Brown's newest book. These readers' profile pictures then claimed a tile in a mosaic. After enough readers contributed their title suggestions, the new title was revealed. Even if you've never read a Dan Brown book, you can guess that the man really enjoys his puzzles.
                  "Dan Brown's enthusiasm for puzzles, codes and symbols is a passion shared by his readers. Our aim is to harness that passion and use it as a catalyst to reveal the new title," Suzanne Herz, Senior Vice President, Publishing for Doubleday, noted to Bloomberg.

                  According to Amazon's listing of the title, which went up shortly after the announcement was made, "In the heart of Italy, Harvard professor of symbology, Robert Langdon, is drawn into a harrowing world centered on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces…Dante’s Inferno.
                  Against this backdrop, Langdon battles a chilling adversary and grapples with an ingenious riddle that pulls him into a landscape of classic art, secret passageways, and futuristic science. Drawing from Dante’s dark epic poem, Langdon races to find answers and decide whom to trust… before the world is irrevocably altered."
                  Brown hit global success with his fourth novel, The Da Vinci Code. It became a New York Times bestseller during its first week of release in 2003. Brown's books have now sold over 200 million copies, and two of them have been adapted into films (Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons) starring Tom Hanks as Langdon. Brown is currently helping adapt The Lost Symbol for film as well.
                  Though some critics are sniffy about the literary merits of Brown's work, this will probably be another runaway success for Random House, as it prepares to merge with Penguin Books this year. Random House acquired theFifty Shades of Grey series last year and made so much money off the genre fiction bestseller that the company gave every employee a 5000 dollar bonus in December.
