dulu pernah baca referensi atau rekomendasi, kalau mau cetak foto didgital (misalnya) 10R maka diperlukan file sekian megapixel.
ada yg tahu bagaimana hitung˛annya?

sbenernya sih gak bisa juga mpx dijadiin patokan... soalnya da juga yg dibilang effectife mpx... nah ini baru bisa... yg di tempel diiklan misal 5 mpx... tapi kalo diset 5 mpx gambarnya gak bakal sebagus misal di set ke 4 mp... gituh.....

ngitungnya sih simple aja... kualitas gambar yg bagus untuk foto itu kira2 1600x1200 (2mp) untuk ukuran postcard, kalo mau diperbesar seterusnya itung aja sendiri....

kalo mau cetak besar sih, gunakan mp penuh aja, kalo kamera loe 5 mo, pake 5mp, kalo 7 mp pake 7 mp...
kalo cuma 3 mp pake 3 mp..... tapi di retouch pake software

DO NOT olah in jpeg karena setiap kali kita save file kita kehilangan detail karena kompresi. Bila hendak resize do it in TIFF too and save as in JPEG.
Pernah saya dan pakar IR om Harlim bahas mengenai RAW ini di forumnya mas Brewok dan KD. Saya muat workflow-nya RAW juga.

Boros storages memang kalo pake RAW, Tapi RAW itu master jepret istilahnya. Jadi uncompress, lebih besar dari TIFF. Begitu elo jepret, yang tertangkap ya RAW itu, setelah itu baru di efek2in ama kameranya... (klo elo masang efek, dsb). Bbrp kamera aja White Ballancenya gak berguna di RAW, soalnya kamera itu baru nyetel White Ballance setelah masuk RAW, dan sebelum kompresi.
Sementara ukuran MPix, memang makin besar makin bagus. Tapi kan bisa di resize menggunakan photoshop (cara curang plg simpel), walaupun kualitasnya gak sebagus ukuran MPix yang asli.
Saran gua nih, ya, saran gua, lhoo... Untuk ukuran 10R keatas, coba aja cari kamera Digital dengan resolusi minimal 6 MPix Efektif. Itu paling aman. Bisa saja di manipulated dari 4 MPix jadi 10R memang, tapi akan lebih aman jika ukuran paling besar, kan?! 6 keatas sih saran gua.
