    Gara2 UTT udah mulai ramai di pasaran indonesia, tidak ada salahnya kalau kita liat2 sejarah ke belakang dan bagaimana semua ini terjadi ( kaya lagu aja)

    !! PS : jika ada informasi tambahan silahkan kontribusinya disini, tapi tolong jangan bicarakan hasil test, atau overclocking (maksutnya minta screenshot dll). ya intinya please stay to the topic

    mengenai UTT...

    sejarahnya, sebenernya itu adalah ketika winbond diambil alih oleh Infineon dan kongsiannya Promos. Dengan begitu Winbond sudah tidak lagi memproduksi chipset RAM dengan label Winbond, tapi mesin yg menjadi karakteristik Winbond (2 dimple dan 4 metal dot) masih tetap memproduksi chipset tersebut (baik oleh Infineon atau Promos atau Winbond sendiri- entah siapa masih rancu).

    Winbond Electronics on January 24 signed a five-year, NT$8 billion syndicated loan provided by 23 banks to fund the construction of its 12-inch fab in Taichung, central Taiwan.

    Winbond expects to produce DRAM for Infineon Technologies using 0.11-micron trench technology when the fab first starts production, said Arthur Chiao, chairman of Winbond. Chiao added that Winbond’s yield rate for the process at its current 8-inch fab is similar to that of Nanya Technology, which also licenses Infineon’s technology.

    singkat cerita , UTT pertama ditemukan ketika salah satu user OCZ VX, membuka heatspreadernya dan memposting nya disebuh forum di eropa,selidik punya selidik.. ternyata OCZ akhirnya "busted" setelah penemuan2 (seperti Twinmos UTT, Kingston UTT,dan bbrp V-data UTT).

    Pada awalnya OCZ sendiri tidak mengakui bahwa pada OCZ VX; chipset yg digunakan adalah Winbond/Infineon/Promos UNTESTED, mereka selalu tutup mulut dan tidak pernah menjawab posting2an di forum2 enthusiast (ocforum,xs,dll)..

    penyelidikan terus berlanjut... paling banyak yg ditemukan di pasaran adalah Twinmos -mungkin karena pabriknya di jerman-, jadi twinmos gampang ditemukan di eropa dan US, dimana para "penyelidik2" dari komunitas Overclock berburu mencari informasi dan ingin "menjitak" OCZ yg selalu tutup mulut. (FYI OCZ VX 512x2 waktu itu harganya $300++)

    lalu semua bermula dari sini (setidaknya ) :
    1."OCZ VX busted " Forum de luxx - germany
    2."xtreme twinmos memory"-XS

    jadi kenapa UTT ( UnTesTed ) ?
    Dari hipotesa saya :
    Sepertinya Infineon/Promos tidak mempunyai "waktu" atau "SDM" untuk speed binned chipset tersebut - mungkin karena Infineon ingin menghemat biaya untuk research - jadi sebuah perjanjian eksklusif dilakukan dengan OCZ, OCZ akan "speed binned" chipset tersebut asalkan Infineon merahasiakan "jati diri" chipset tersebut, dengan membiarkannya "telanjang" alias tanpa label.
    Kesulitannya, mesin pencetak Winbond sendiri mempunyai karakteristik yang tidak bisa dihilangkan , yaitu (2 dimple dan 4 metal dots). Jadi lambat laun akhirnya terungkap juga..

    OCZ sendiri akhirnya mengakuinya bahwa mereka menggunakan UTT yg sudah di "speed binned", lalu dibukalah thread untuk "membandingkan" kinerja VX vs UTT.

    orang awam mah ga perduli mau UTT ato TCCD ato BH-5, yang penting murah

    pretty useless.....apalagi harganya mahal (OCZ VX) toh orang disini pada pake Visipro

    anda berarti malas membaca.. kalau anda perhatikan kenapa UTT (bukan OCZ) sangat digandungi, karena harganya kira2 50%( bahkan lebih) lebih murah dari OCZ , dengan performa yg marginally hampir sama.

    artinya: harganya hampir sama dengan memory generik seperti visipro dan antek2nya... so... do you get my point?

    loh buat orang awam mah apa gunanya UTT? mereka ga bakal jalanin di 280 2-2-2-5-1 3.6 volt -----> sapa orang awam punya DDR booster? ato pake DFI NF4 dan berani praktek 3.6 volt???

    ya mungkin Twinmoss SP UTT murah, tapi availabilitynya? di kota gue mah ga ada Twinmoss apalagi cari yang UTT, toko disini disuruh cariin memory macem gini mah mana senang hati? contoh dulu gue cari Apacer TCCD.........ga ketemu.....

    yang gandrung siapa? ocers kan? orang awam mah ga perduli mau jalan di 2-2-2-5 ato 3-5-5-11 asal kompi jalan, bisa bikin tugas, bisa bikin sesuatu ato maen game, 200MHz ato 350 MHz mah siapa perduli???

    itulah yang saya bilang useless, apalagi kalau sampe ngurusin sejarahnya..........ini Indonesia, dan ini bukan forum khusus overclocking...

    @Radeon : sabar donk... tenang aja... ^_^ lagian kan gak semua yang baca nganggep ini useless, contohnya aku nih...

    @Setyotomo : wah, thanks banget nih... tadinya aku juga bingung ko bisa winbond yang udah gak ada bisa produksi chip lagi tapi, klo bisa ditambah juga asal-usul UTT ch-5 dan UTT bh-5 yang baru (kalo tau yah^_^)... soalnya ada yang bilang ch-5 itu versi upgrade dari ch-5 yang lama, sedangkan yang bh-5 itu masih tetep pake bh-5 yang lama... kan jadi bingung ... ^_^ trus apakah klo beli utt bh-5 bisa lebih baik dari bh-5 yang lama... (aku bingung nih, sekarang lagi pake bh-5 tapi kurang puas, dan kebetulan di auction ada yang jual tmsp 1A4T cukup murah... tapi kan kalo sama aja jadi sayang juga... ^_^) thanx

    1A4T/BH-5 lebih panas,bisa jalan 2-2-2-5 di 2.6 V,better than CH5 in speed
    AA4T/CH-5 lebih dingin,di lov voltage (2.6) nggak bisa 2-2-2-5

    bener nggak ?
