saya punya dell dgn proc PIII 700 + 256 + 20 GB. skr pake win XP pro. apa kalo saya switch back ke win2000 akan bikin lebih ringan ? trus apa kerasa bedanya ? lappy ini dipake cuma buat office aja. please advise dr teman2.

saran sih, pake linux aja. keuntungannya, ngga seberapa berat. toh cuman buat aplikasi office aja kan?A power can't be given. It must be taken.

Pasti lebih ringan kalo pake Windows 2000. Karena dia gak ada tetek bengek (seperti Luna theme, firewall yang gak bagus, software2 seperti bluetooth dan wireless controller, dll). Masalahnya, Windows 2000 itu udah gak disupport ama Microsoft, jadi kalo ada lubang keamanan besar, gak bakal dibetulin. Tapi kalo dipake buat office dan internet aja, asal ada Antivirus, Firewall, dan antispyware, menurut saya udah aman.
Tapi kalo mau sih, cobain aja pake Linux seperti yang Rain.EXE bilang. Udah gratis, powerful, legal lagi. Cuman gak bisa main game windows aja sih.
