temen2 sebagai salah satu lulusan food science yang ada di CHIP Forum saya merasa perlu untuk bikin thread ini dilihat dari banyaknya komplain yang terjadi akhir2 ini terhadap produk-produk makanan-maupun minuman...

jadi kalo ada komplain makanan maupun minuman silahkan post disini. saya kan berusaha menjelaskan apakah benar-benar isu, ataukan benar-benar terjadi...

Saya..mah sampe skg nda pernah komplain ke makanan apapun. tapi pernah tuh dpt e-mail yang isinya "pengaruh dari Coca-cola", yang bisa ngerusak organ2 penting...dari saat iti nda pernah minum coca-cola sampai sekarang.

tapi sepanjang yang gw tau... ada beberapa isu ttg coca cola

1. isu fluorin. yang digunakan untuk anti mikroba pada bahan baku air
sebenarnya air secara alami mengandung fluor, termasuk air yang digunakan untuk bahan baku coca cola tersebut.

Upper limits (UL) of 0.10 mg/kg/day in children less than 8 years and 10 mg/day
for those older than 8 years are recommended for prevention of dental fluorosis.

2. isu bahan pengawet

COKE - Fizzy chemicals and sugar.
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and.it sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a brown gravy.
8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
FYI:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its Ph is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about four days.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

tau kan gelembung2 da coca cola tu dari co2 ? ? ?

nah co2 itu selain buat memberi efek sparkling (berkilauan)-> itu istilah dosen gw co2 termasuk antimikroba yang dapat memperpanjang umur simpan produk

FYI co2 bila bercampur dengan air membentuk asam yang dapat menurunkan ph produk hingga ph 2-3...

hal ini menyebabkan mikroba yang dapat tumbuh pada produk ini sebatas yeast (khamir, macam sacharomyces -> u bikin tape), dan jamur...

sehingga menghasilkan reaksi seperti penambahan pengawet keras...


ada isu juga jangan beri anak kecil coca-cola banyak2

ah semua kalo banyak2 juga od kan....

tapi keterangannya gini:

tu produk mengandung banyak gula (tidak baik buat gigi anak2)

tu produk asam.... (tidak baik buat perut anak2 yang lagi tumbuh...)

nomer 4, 5, 6 juga gua yakin hoax doank (unconfirmed)
salah satu dari klaimnya uda salah, gimana bisa yakin
sourcenya? unreliable, gua search tentang issue2 ini, ga ada source yg dari website reliable. (semua website hasil search pasti bikinan orang iseng, hosting di domain iseng2, etc etc)

coca cola memang terbukti ga bagus (terutama phosporic acid nya yg bisa bikin osteoporosis), tapi mohon jgn menyesatkan dengan ngasih info yg salah ato belum terbukti

indomie kan ada beberapa bagian
1. mie instan nya itu sendiri
2. bumbu2 yang dibagi lagi
a minyak
b bumbu serbuk

menurut pengetahuan saya
1. mie instant
tidak mengandung bahan berbahaya, termasuk isu lilin yang digemor-gemborkan belakangan ini.

karena di universitas saya di semarang pernah ada yang bikin penelitian mengenai pembuatan mie instant, dan tidak perlu penambahan lilin, dll yang berbahaya untuk membuat mie tersebut tidak lengket..
yang menjadi titik kritis mengapa mie tersebut tidak lengket adalah metode penguleninya.. kalo lihat buat mie wonton kan diputer2, dibanting, nah kaya gitu deh...


warna kuning yang ada dalam mie instan bisa berasal dari dua bahan
-pewarna kuning buatan (termasuk tartazine- yang diperbolehkan, namun dibatasi)
-pewarna kuning alami (berasal dari vitamin b2 riboflavin, dulu pernah ada kasus mie yang diperkaya dengan vit b2, padahal sebenarnya ditambah b2 u pewarna, sekarang pencantuman label diperkaya dibatasi untuk zat yang memiliki fungsi fungsional bagi tubuh, misal u vit b2 mencapai 20% kebutuhan vitamin b2 tubuh)

2 bumbu
hal ini yang menjadi perhatian... karena bumbu nya selain mengandung bubuk kaldu ayam, juga mengandung msg... ingat bahwa msg juga dihasilkan alami oleh tubuh. jadi msg tidak berbahaya dalam batas-batas normal.

3. minyak
sepanjang yang saya tahu minyak ini berasal dari minyak sawit, atau minyak bawang (untuk rasa-rasa tertentu)
saya pernah kerja praktek di bimoli jakarta, dan dari sana ternyata mereka juga menyuplay minyak ke indofood bagian mie (ingat bahwa indofood dibagi menjadi beberapa industri terpisah : mie, snack, satu nya lupa)
