om momod numpang bikin thread ini untuk para chippers yg ingin membeli PSU yg berkisar 500w-an..
cuz gw sering denger banyak chipper yg ingin tahu bagusan manasih PSU yg kisaran 500w untuk rig ane, yg kuat ngangkat rig ane, dll..

disini gw pingin membagi informasi tentang PSU" ini..
dari review, harga and conclusion (hasil akhir/kesimpulan)...
sekedar untuk jawaban untuk para chippers yg mencari perbandingan PSU ini..

Although the fluctuations in the 5V were great, at least they were consistent. The 5V would consistently waiver 1%, which is not that good especially in the lower loads, but at least it never got worse than that.

So now that that's all done, let's take a look at the scoring....

Summary
The Xigmatek NRP-PC501 came looking to make a statement, and did. That statement is, "Look at me, for I am a halfway decent budget unit that still manages to bring some excellence in the form of better than average ripple suppression and very nice efficiency numbers." No, this will not compete too well when confronted by a good independently regulated unit like perhaps the Corsair VX550, but the reality is you could easily do worse than this unit if you're putting together a new system for your brother or sister that's just gotta work and work well. No fancy recommended logo on this one, but this unit still came pretty close.

5. CORSAIR VX550W

Yeah, the Corsair VX550W is one slick looking unit. It would have been nicer to see a gloss paintjob but the black does tell you it means business. "I'm here to power your system and chew bubblegum and I'm all outta bubblegum."

6. CORSAIR HX520W

For functionality (weight of 20%,) I'm giving this power supply a 9.5. The Corsair is modular, compact and has nice cables. No... I'm not going to whack a half point for shorting us a couple cables. There's still plenty to go around. Performance 9 Aesthetics 9 Value 9 Functionality 9.5 Total Score 9

Overall, that calculates to a score of "9" Once again there were only a few minor "flaws." But for $119 it's hard to complain. So without a doubt, we have another power supply that's earned a "jonnyGURU Recommended" logo:

7. COOLER MASTER REALPOWER 550W

8. GIGABYTE ODIN 550W

I'm happy with the subtle looks of the Odin. It's only black, but it's a good quality finish. The subtle accents like the Odin cap over the hub of the fan and the Gigabyte plaque on the side of the housing are nice touches. The honeycomb housing is very nice too. Furthermore, the cables are sleeved up to the last connector. So I'm going to give the Odin GT an aesthetics score of 9.

If we add up our numbers, we end up with a score of 9.

9. SILVERSTONE ELEMENT ST50EF-PLUS 500W

Overall, the Silverstone Element ST-50EF-Plus gets a score a "9.5" This power supply is simply awesome. It really does offer all of the features that everyone should look for when looking for a power supply of this power range.

10. SILVERSTONE ZEUS ST56ZF 560W

I informed Silverstone of the buzz and they were kind enough to send a second sample. This second sample did not have the +5VSB buzz. There was a slight buzz when the power supply was under load, but this buzz was considerably less than the first unit and could not be heard once installed in the case. So I consider it a non-issue at this point.

Summary

You missed the recommendation by *that* much, FSP. If you can pull the voltage regulation in just a bit and make it just a smidgen more tolerant to high temps, you'll have a real winner here.

As it stands now, this unit is a very good choice for those who just need something halfway reliable that does its job capably. The price isn't ridiculous, it looks good, it doesn't get real loud unless you bake it, and it can be easily found anywhere in North America.

At 500W, Thermaltake's Qfan enabled offerings finally manage to earn a recommendation here at jonnyGURU.com due to an ever so slightly better price. While it ain't the purtiest unit I ever did see, the Toughpower 500W Qfan is a nice, quiet, and capable unit that should serve well any lower powered system out there for a long time to come.
