All of these parts will be completely new from the ground up. The talk of them being Pentium M based is complete bull because these are next generation "brains of the computer". They have all of the features of the current chips, all the *Ts (Socket Ts), and a few more, and of course are 64 bit. The most surprising bit is that they will not have on die memory controllers on Merom and Conroe. Woodcrest will be FBD (fully buffered DIMM) enabled, so look for the potential to have stupidly large amounts of RAM on it.

weh gile berarti di processornya ada memory onboard ya?? jadinya bentuknya gede banget dong..
tapi kalo bisa berarti dahsyat banget ya, apalagi basisnya pentium m yang memang powerfull tapi bisa hemat power juga.. COOOOOLL!!!!
Kita tunggu tanggapan AMD Atas Proc ini... hehehehe...

Ondie memory controller yang lebih cepat (ddr3, xdr, rdram) + chache yang besar (8, 16, 32 mb) lebih flexible dan mungkin lebih cepat dari pada ide Intel yang memasukkan ondie memory. Saya pikir ide ini muncul karena intel gusar dengan masa depan dual core mereka yang tidak bisa mengalahkan amd. Jadi mereka sekarang mengejar ide2 baru sebelum keduluan amd.

Nope.. itu bukan Pentium M. Yang pake Pentium M itu kan Jonah. Ini processor yang gue tunggu tungguin yang katanya keluar tahun 2007 sama CSI dan ondie-memory. Tapi kalo liat announcementnya, dia masih pake FSB biasa. dan nggak pake on-die memory, tapi udah pake FB-DIMM. Next generation of P-M. Tapi memang based on P6

Project Z? Masih belum kelihatan bentuknya sih, tapi kelihatannya memang sableng. Gue sih ngarepin AMD bisa execute K10-nya tahun 2007 sesuai rencana. Kalo engga, AMD = dead. Merom itu sudah bukan levelnya K8/K9 lagi.
