Tentang Disc Quality Test:

Below that you will find the settings for the graph displays. Note that there are 2 graphs. The upper graph displays the read speed and the C1 or PI errors. The scale for the speed is on the right of the graph and the error scale is on the left. De-selecting one of these options will remove the appropriate scale from the graph. If your drive does not support that particular function, it's best to deselect that option so as to avoid confusion on the graph scales.
The lower graph is for the C2 or PI-Failures., and jitter. Again, if your drive does not support a feature, deselecting that option is advised.

Most people will be familiar with "PO" errors, rather than "PI-Failures". These are essentially the same type errors, so don't be confused by references to the 2 designations. While there may be disagreement as to what the 2 designations mean, you can generally assume that they are comparable. Again, different drives may report slightly different things. For further explanations of interpreting these errors, refer to the interpreting PI/PO errors thread.

What is a good result and how to read the graphs?

Use this as a guideline for good discs:
PI (Parity Inner): No larger areas on the disc should exceed 280 PI errors, do not worry too much about high single spikes that exceeds 280.
PO (Parity Outer): No larger areas on the disc should exceed 32 PO (actually PI uncorrectable) errors, do not worry too much about high single spikes that exceeds 32. (Note that this is not completely correct according to the standards, but is still a good guideline, read the first technical post if you wonder why this is not a 100% correct way of reading the results compared to the standards).

baca average C1 error (PI error) dan C2 error (PI Failure), makin besar makin jelek.. kalo dari grafik, yang grafiknya bersih justru bagus, dibanding grafik yang banyak biru dan ijo nya..

liat quality score, makin gede (perfect di 100) makin bagus..

Berhubung kita udah beranjak lebih kearah rada pro, gue akan bahas bagaimana cara menilai yang LEBIH BAIK

yo, ubah aja bro scanning methodnya BenQ ke 6x CLV untuk 1620/40/50 ... karena memakai CLV lebih akurat ketimbang CAV

Untuk menilai, mulai sekarang KITA JANGAN TERLEBIH DAHULU MELIHAT PADA SCORE. Kita harus melihat pada total nilai dari masing-masing PIE dan PIF... baru pada score...

patokan yang harus kita lihat adalah :
1. Average
2. Total
3. Maximum

kalo kita dapet PIF 1 tapi merembet sebanyak 4000 sampe akhir, itu ga bagus juga... tapi dapet skor pasti antara 99 dan 97... tapi kalo kita dapet PIF 4 dengan total cuman 50 atau 30 doang, itu masih bagus... makanya sebenarnya Average masih memegang peranan disini... usahakan POF tidak terjadi, karena sekali terjadi, jangan lihat lagi PIE/PIF, langsung buang DVD tersebut

Usahakan PIF dibawah average 0.50-1 .. dibawah itu seharusnya oke banget... itu bukan angka pasti, tapi setidaknya cukup bagus

Usahakan juga Jitter dibawah 10%

Selain BENQ, Lite-on, Plextor; DVD writer mana lagi yg valid utk Disc Quality Test ?

Bukan post tapi article di CDFreaks... kalo ga salah itu article nya si Dee27, mod cewek di CDF
CLV cenderung lebih menghasilkan tingkat scanning lebih akurat ketimbang CAV/P-CAV ... karena CLV hanya ada di 6x pada BenQ, gue dan Zevia setuju sebaiknya di 6x saja (waktu itu ngobrol bareng membahas artikel si Dee27)... namun sekarang BenQ udah ga dipake lagi di CDFreaks, karena keakuratan LiteOn cenderung lebih baik....

namun BenQ 1680 sebaiknya di 4x karena sudah pake mesin LiteOn/MTK
